Jan Eric Claesson

Decades of leadership experience in technology and healthcare has provided me the opportunity to work with people at startups all the way to Fortune 50 organizations.

This covers many different cultures and countries requiring listening skills and interest in understanding anything from communications styles and values, to definition and achievement of goals. With responsibilities in the C-suite, board member combined with multiple operational roles, I have the experience to understand my clients and their situations.

Jan enjoys spending time with his family including his wife, three adult children and four grand-children. When he’s not running his businesses, he can be found on the tennis court, weightlifting or practicing decathlon. A natural net-worker, Jan has connections in several local and national organizations.

Work history.

I grew up in Sweden where completed my BA in economics & international marketing. My final year at the university I went to the French Riviera where I met my wife to be.  She was from Seattle, Washington, which is where we ended up after living in Sweden together for three years.  Washington has been our home-base since then, besides a year when we lived and worked outside Paris, France.

  • The larger companies I have work for are SCA, Eli Lilly (country manager in France), and Microsoft (11 different roles).
  • Started several companies including a market leading gaming company focusing on role-playing games for girls.
  • 3G infrastructure software startup with strategic investors (Motorola & Intel). A public SAAS company in the telecom space where we doubled the market cap.
  • A decade in various aspects of healthcare including board member and CEO for a TPA providing software and BPO services.
  • Engaged in various boards over two decades.

Coaching highlights.

Helping people find their direction and capacity for growth has always been my passion.  As a career ownership coach, it is my privilege to get to know people and guide them in the Discovery learning process.
